The two of us will be meeting readers and signing copies of our books, this Saturday (October 20) at one of Harrogate’s newest and most beautiful bookshops.

Imagined Things, in the town’s historic Westminster Arcade, has featured copies of our two novels A Falling Friend and its sequel, A Forsaken Friend, for several weeks and now we’ve been invited to talk to bookshop friends and customers.

Imagined Things, which opened in July 2017, is a proudly independent bookshop offering an eclectic mix of books across a range of genres for adults, young adults and children.

The bookshop was in the news this summer when owner, Georgia Duffy, struggled on a poor sales day – and took to social media for help.

She tweeted that she’d taken just £12.34 all day. Her appeal was retweeted hundreds of times – and orders flooded in. She’s been extremely busy ever since.

Second signing

This will be our second bookshop signing in recent weeks. Copies of the first two in the Friends trilogy (we’ve just finished writing the final installment) have appeared at Just Books in Otley (see picture below).

Huge thank you to Sarah Elliott at Just Books for featuring our Friends books in her window display – and then letting us take over a corner of the shop to talk all things books with her customers.

Harrogate

I’m especially pleased to have a gig in Harrogate – it’s where I went to school and spent many happy hours gazing out of the Double Physics class window dreaming up stories that I knew one day would emerge in a novel (or three).

We’re hoping Facebook and Twitter friends from the area will pop in to lend support and say ‘Hello’. And as an extra bonus to visiting this lovely bookshop, there are fabulous cafes and boutiques throughout the town. Treat yourself: have a day out!

We’ll be at Imagined Things from 11am until about 2pm. Hope to see you.
