Tick tock. Tick tock…it’s Saturday, March 14 and the clock is ticking for wayward Leah Dorsett, who has been missing for 13 days.
No clues. No suspects. And even the police have almost given up hope.
Only her younger sister Rachel – fearless, dependable, enterprising – believes she is still alive.
She’s convinced the answer lies in the radical church where Leah was last seen.
But she can’t persuade anyone to talk to her – until, 13 days after Leah’s disappearance, the pastor introduces Rachel to Tim, a handsome, charismatic born-again Christian.
He’s battling his own demons but agrees to help and together, they set out to find Leah.
But Rachel knows the clock is ticking.
Powerful thriller
If they don’t find Leah soon, they might not find her at all.
The Life Group is a powerful, pacy YA thriller debut from Maura Jortner.
Beautifully, convincingly written with plenty of plot twists, Jortner keeps readers guessing right up to her explosive climax.
A glorious read for Young Adults and older ones too.
Definitely one for the read-again pile.
